Football
Football is the biggest and fastest growing sport at Avondale College, with over 170 players in ten teams.
Boys teams: Premier, 2nd XI, 3rd XI, 4th XI social team, Y10, Y9.
Girls teams: Premier Girls, Sen A , Sen B, Sen C, Jnr A, Jnr B

The Premier Girls team competes in the Central West Zone, APC competition and enter the New Zealand Secondary Schools tournament each year. The games are on Wednesday afternoon, kicking off at 4pm. The fixture list can be found on the College Sport website. Training sessions are held on Monday and Friday mornings from 7am to 8-20am.
Avondale College has a good reputation in Premier Girls football, having been ranked nationally in the top 16 schools for the past 15 years. In 2008 the Premier Girls finished 3rd in the National Secondary Schools tournament.
