Martial Arts
Avondale College coordinates a martial arts programme which involves students who train and compete at club level in karate and judo.
Top Year 10 Student Leanne Goh won the National Club Championships in 2009, and the National Scecondary Schools Championships in her U58kg category. In February 2010 Leanne was the runner up at the Australia Pacific Rim international competition, held in Canberra. Leanne trains at a local Te Atatu Club, and we wish her well as she continues to excel in her sport.
