Rugby has a proud tradition at Avondale College and continues to be a popular sport, with 2010 seeing five boys team and one girls team playing in the Auckland Secondary Schools competition.

 

The teams train on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, with games being played on Saturday mornings.
