Blues Game a winner for international students

International students cheer on the Blues in Wellington
Experiencing the sights of New Zealand's capital city was a highlight for one group of international students recently. In addition to sightseeing, the group also cheered themselves hoarse at a Blues rugby game.
"Wellington is a beautiful city with cool things to do like the museum, restaurants, shops, etc... The game was nice but it was a shame that the blues lost :/ "

Avcol International Issue 1 2012Konnichiwa from Kyoto!
Greetings from Kyoto Ryoyo High School in Kyoto, Japan! Avondale College has recently established a relationship with this school and these students all attended Avondale College during the third term this year.
International Manager, Rachel Stirling, visited the school during her recent marketing trip to Japan. She enjoyed catching up with the students on their home turf - and seeing them dressed in Japanese school uniform this time!
International match: Avondale vs Rangitoto
Rugby wasn't the only sport getting international attention this week, with the quarterly clash between Rangitoto and Avondale showcasing our international students' skills in basketball and football. Both games were fiercely contested, with Avondale emerging victorious in both matches.
Captained by Hao Wang, Avondale's basketball team gained a convincing win, 53 to 25. Player of the day was Yimeng Wang.
Avondale's football team also won, with the final score 3:1. The captain was Tomas Taborada and player of the day, Federico Gutierrez.
Well done to all who took part.
