  • Gateway – a work-based learning programme for Year 12 students
  • Opportunities for students to attend “Student for a Day” and “Try it For a Day” at tertiary institutes
  • Weekly guest speakers covering academic as well as trade subjects

Our primary means of communicating with the students of Avondale College is through the intranet site found at http://welcome.avcol.school.nz . On this site students have access to information on job vacancies, scholarships and events occurring throughout the year both within the school and at tertiary institutes, lunchtime speakers and Gateway.

Students are able to download application forms for Gateway, copies of handouts such as ‘How to Write a C.V.’, ‘Interviews’, ‘Job Hunting’, and information on scholarships and overseas Universities. These can all be found under the heading ‘Documents’.
