THE ARTS
Avondale College has a well-deserved reputation for excellence in the performing arts, with students able to develop their passion for music, dance and drama in the classroom as well as through the many co-curricular groups on offer.
Instrumental tuition is available to interested students and many instruments may be hired from the school's Music Department.
Students gain performance experience through a number of school and community concerts and events.
Junior students also have the opportunity of auditioning for our Performing Arts Academy, which runs before school five mornings a fortnight.

DRAMA
In addition to taking Drama as subject across all year levels, students also have the opportunity to participate in co-curricular groups.
A highlight of the school year is the production of a major musical show. Recent shows have included Fame the Musical, This is Us, In the Heights, Catch Me If You Can, Rock of Ages and Hairspray.
Avondale College also participates in the annual Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival, with our students achieving recognition at regional, national, and even international levels.
