Blueprints & big ideas

In the final two weeks of Term 3, our Level 2 & 3 Technology Visual Communication (TVC) students proudly presented their architectural design projects at their annual TVC Showcase.

Tasked with designing a gallery space for Avondale College, students developed a diverse range of innovative concepts that showed creativity and practical design thinking. Their final presentations brought their ideas to life through architectural models, detailed posters, and immersive walkthrough videos.

It was particularly rewarding to see the pride students took in presenting their work and the encouragement they offered one another throughout the event.

For Year 12 student Jahna Hala, the project marked an introduction to a new subject area.

"TVC was a new experience for me, as this was my first year of taking the subject, but it was fun to learn how to use the 3D software," she said. "My teacher and peers helped me learn the basics quite quickly, so it really is a welcoming environment. It also expanded my creativity and sketching skills, which will definitely help me with future projects."

Mrs Nicholson and Ms De Thierry say they were incredibly proud of the commitment, creativity, and effort shown by every student in preparing their projects.

Congratulations to all of our TVC students on a successful showcase and on producing such impressive final outcomes.
