Avondale College's school pepeha has been developed in conjunction with our iwi partners, Te Kawerau a Maki.

A pepeha is a way of introducing yourself in Te Reo Maori. It is a locator, telling people who you are by sharing your connections with the people and places of significance to the whenua. It provides a sense of place, and acknowledges the mana of Tangata Whenua.
