Avondale College's Performing Arts Awards Night was held on Thursday 17 October and celebrated an outstanding year in music, dance, drama, and the annual school show.
Awards were given to recognise leadership and excellence in the performing arts, interspersed by performances from the Gospel Choir, dance crew AcDc, SUSO finalist Louis de Biasio, and Gideon Vaopunimatagi as Chicago's Amos Hart singing 'Mr Cellophane.' The night was perfectly rounded out with live jazz from The Quartet pre and post-event.
Valedictory speeches were given by key Year 13 students in each faculty: Allegra D'Souza for Music, Praise Tupa'i for Dance and Carys Chacko and Tessa Smith for Drama.
Friends, family, and faculty gathered to honour the efforts of these young performers, reinforcing the college's commitment to the arts. Congratulations to all our award winners, and in particular to those awarded the top trophies of the night
