The Avondale College School Ball is always one of the highlights of the senior school calendar and is being held this year on Saturday 8 June at the Trusts Stadium.
In the interests of sustainability and keeping costs down, a prefect-led Charity Committee is running a second-hand ball dress sale at the College.
It's the second year the committee has run this event, with last year's sale proving to be extremely popular, says Head Prefect, Allegra D'Souza.
"We want to be able to provide our senior students with an affordable option for ball attire," says Allegra.
"This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for something nice on a budget and we’ve got lots of items to choose from."
Dresses, suits, shoes and accessories will be up for sale, with prices around the $20 mark. Proceeds will go towards funding the cost of the ball.
The Second-Hand Ball Outfits Sale will run on Monday 8 April, and again next term, on Thursday 16 May, in the PAC from 3:30-5pm.
