We would like to advise that the PPTA has confirmed strike action on Thursday 1 June 2023 for Year 12 students. PPTA members will not be teaching Year 12 students, so we advise Year 12 students only, to study from home on Thursday.
The school will be open as normal for all other year levels. Year 12 students should continue with their work and study independently on Thursday at home, which may include finishing classwork, doing homework, working towards assessments or going over class notes.
A small number of non-union staff will be available to supervise students if required. Should your child need supervision for the day, please email: admin@avcol.school.nz
