Sound in Colour is one of the performing arts highlights of the Avondale College calendar!
It's taking place on Thursday 7 July at 6pm in the Avondale College theatre. Entry is by gold coin donation.
With over 100 students taking to the stage, it will be an event not to be missed! Some performance highlights will include:
• The Avondale Gospel Choir - singing their ‘most engaging performance of The Big Sing Gala’ performance
• Contemp Band - finalists in the Stand Up Stand Out competition 2021
• Chamber Orchestra - Gold Award winners, ‘Best Performance of a Work in an Other Style’, 2021 KBB Music Competition
• Soloist Irene Kim (viola) - winner of multiple solo competitions and a finalist in the Auckland region of the National Chamber Music Competition
• Gospel Choir and Symphony will be performing their collaborative work: A te Tarakihi
• Guest artist Linda Filimoehala (euphonium) will be featured - she is a New Zealand Concert Band Association (NZCBA) solo competition winner
PLUS – come early to enjoy a sausage sizzle and jazz festivities from 4:45pm in support of the Gospel Choir’s fundraising endeavours for the Northern Regional Cadenza festival.
